Harper lee satirizes the white community of maycomb frequently. the one that caught my eye however was when ms gates said that there was no one better than the Jews and she didn’t understand why Hitler disliked them. i think that this could be seen as satire because even though she thinks that Hitler was being irrational with the Jewish but  her opinion of black people is worse because Hitler believed that if they didn’t get rid of the Jews then they would take over the world which means that they have some form of power but in her and the majority of the southern white community at that time believed that blacks were inhumans and/or dirt that was why they were given the name of the color of their skin negro. This could also be seen as allusion because she was referencing to the Second World War when hitter did not like the Jews and tried to kill and torture them.this shows that the white community of maycomb are hypocrites as they treat black people so similar.

morality has a strong meaning to Atticus as he is defending an innocent black man accused of raping a white girl in court.

the girl’s father was brought in court as a witness and so did heck Tate,the town sheriff, and as if in a trance they told the jury that they saw the girl with bruises

in the book the curious incident of the dog in the night time there is a peculiar boy who has autism is the protagonist and the anti-hero of the story.

Christopher Boone is 15. He knows all the countries of the world and their capital cities and every prime number up to 7,507. He lives in Swindon with his father and Toby, his pet rat. He abhors all yellow and brown things, thinks he would make a good astronaut, and has never been further than the end of the road on his own until his discovery of the murder of his neighbor’s dog turns him into an amateur detective.

he also has asperger’s syndrome which makes him unable to understand when people show emotions and he cant make out when a person is kidding around thinking they are serious.

when he was told his mother was dead he really didn’t care and he remembered what he had for dinner on that day which was spaghetti and tomato.

But he isn’t callous or indifferent. He can cope with facts, with concrete detail; emotions confuse and alarm him.

i picked this book because Christopher used unorthodox methods to find out that his mother is alive and lives in london with mr shears.

this piece of narrative writing is based upon the poem the right word which was given to me as my piece of the anthology and it also has a partial influence from the film night crawler.

 As Michael entered the warehouse he had a slight feeling of worry as he could hear creaking of floor boards above him. He turned around and saw that his camera crew were still taking the equipment out the van. “I’m going to have a search around” he said “Marcus,give me a spare cam corder so I can get footage of the place and If i find anything I’ll call you OK?”Marcus nodded,gave it to him  and Michael set of into the warehouse looking around with the cam corder in his hand ready to catch  anything moving. It turned out that the creaking on the floor was because of a few rats that were attacking each other over the last of what he thought was moldy cheese. He went back down stairs very disappointed and to his surprise the camera crew were holding a pink slip looking at Michael with sympathy in their eyes. “What’s that?” Said Michael pointing the cam corder at it.”it’s yours read it “said Marcus. On the pink slip it had a few big words that Michael ignored but still got the main idea. “I-I’m sacked? Wh-why” he muffled. ” well you haven’t had a crime caught on camera for 3 months I’m sorry but L.A news don’t have time for this” said the sound boy “i would leave too but” “but what” interrupted Michael “the damn pay?” “No my mum owns L.A news if I leave she wouldn’t speak to me again.” But Michael wasn’t listening he placed his helmet on his head threw Marcus’ cam corder on the floor and cursed, jumped on his mo ped and left.

The main story line is of a sacked crime scene recorder finding a dead body alongside his roommate. The next passage will explain what his home looks like and how he found the body that gets him back his job. I will start on that passage tomorrow.

Michael’s apartment suits him. messy. but he wasn’t the only person living there at the time. ‘his roommate with benefits’ Lyra sanders was lying down on their bed sleeping. Michael looked with tears in his eyes.how will he be able to tell her? he tried to take of his clothes without waking her but he was too clumsy. fell and made a bang on the floor.                                                  “what the hell?” asked Lyra. “you woke me up mikey”.                                                                                                                    “sorry Lyra” said Michael,looking at the floor while he speaks.                                                                                                         “whats wrong?”                                                                                                                                                                               “well you see L.A news have decided that i’m not good enough for them”                                                                                      “what!!! how could they you’re the best thing to ever happen to that show.”                                                                                   “i know i cant believe either i’m so angry right now”. And he burst into tears going up to the bed looking for a hug from Lyra.      “I know what would cheer you up” she whispered in his ear. and she got up and took of her gown showing nothing but her breast and panties. Michael managed to create a smile took of her panties and brought her onto the bed.

after 30 minutes of heaven with Lyra, Michael had gotten out of bed still holding Lyra’s waist and said “come with me to the bar” and she followed him (obviously wearing decent clothes now)  until they came across a bag not longer than 6ft7″ and on top of it says here lies a paki . Lyra screamed as Michael opened the bag. a short man with a chin strap beard was squashed in the bag  michael ran away leaving his roommate frozen looking at the body. he went straight to Marcus’ house took the cam corder and went back to the scene. “as you can see here” he said while pointing the cam corder at the bag “someone has killed a man and left his dead body in this gym bag, it seems like this was a deliberate attack as on the note it only states that the person is a paki but not telling us his real name.” 

” wh-what the fuck are you doing?” Lyra chocked.

“getting my damn job back”

“but that is cruel you should have phoned the police when you had the chance”

” but i need this job to take care of us, we are a unit we need to survive”

“but you shouldn’t use footage of dead people…you don’t even know who killed this innocent man.”

“yeah? well when and if i get my job back my old team will stop at nothing to
