it began a few months back when the United states government released bikini atoll’s perfect atom bomb into North Korea,leaving nothing but distruction and mutations. But one disaster creates another. And unfortunately my tribe was attacked. Hundreds of them looked to me for protection and I had to hide my people in the forbidden land. Many of my people died and in a few weeks there were only seven left. Me the leader of the tribe,Chi-chi my wife,kenzo a villager,yung  kenzo’s son,and three of my servants.

This is a good scenario in which to locate your dystopian story – but the focus now will be to move away from narrative (storytelling) in the direction of exposition (setting up the place, time, characters) for your piece.
Let me know if you want some advice in doing this – mainly I’m keen to get a sense for where this is happening and when – what’s the atmosphere. Which pieces of information hint at the wider situation and which pieces are better left out so the reader is curious to read on.
